Cerebral Palsy (CP)

Cerebral Palsy (CP) is a neurological condition that affect the movement and muscle coordination.

Cause of CP

According to the studies, CP is caused by abnormalities inside the developing brain that disrupt the brain's ability to control movement and maintain posture and balance.

Some studies show that the areas of the brain involved in muscle movement do not develop as expected during fetal growth. In some cases, the damage is a result of injury to the brain either before, during, or after birth.

Common singns and symptoms of CP

Children with CP show some of the following symptoms:

  • Lack of muscle coordination
  • Lack of muscle coordination
  • Weakness in one or more arm or leg
  • Variations in muscle tone
  • Shaking or random involuntary movements
  • Difficulty with precise movements
  • Seizure disorder
  • Delay growth and development
  • Impaired vision
